Centre to empower two million youths
The United States Latino American Chamber of Commerce (USLACC), West American Region in collaboration with International Art Resource Centre, says it will provide jobs for two million youths in Nigeria.
Mrs Ifeoma Ejiogu, West African Director of the USLACC, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview on Tuesday in Abuja that the centre had planned resourceful empowerment programme to that effect.
According to her, youths will receive training on methods of farming, information communication technology, recycling, vocational skills acquisition and entrepreneurship, among others.
She, however, called on youths to register for the programme between April and May to enable them to start the trainings in June.
Eziogu said the initiative was to support the effort of the Federal Government at providing employments for Nigeria youths.
She said the programme would develop the youth in commerce and industry, promising that the centre would give trainees free lap top, soft loans and certificate, among others, after the training.
She said the centre would inaugurate the youth empowerment programme on April 7 in New Karu, Nasarawa State.
