Mr Peter Galadima, a Peyi Community Youth Leader in Bwari, FCT, on Saturday urged youths in the area to engage in meaningful ventures.

Galadima gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
He said the community would be more habitable if the young segment of the society took conscious steps toward their personal development.

Galadima said that lack of self confidence had made the youths vulnerable, adding that their vulnerability has led most of them to indulge in anti-social vices.

“The inability of young people to make right decisions often hinders their proper growth.

“Young persons in the country as a whole must imbibe the culture of self-confidence, take positive action and search for knowledge in order to improve their productive values.

“They should also engage themselves in useful ventures such as reading and sporting activities,’’ he said.
The Youth leader said that the youth must believe in themselves in order to unleash their potential.

“That is the only way they could prevent themselves from being used by agents of vices in the society.

“The aggregate of these positive steps would lead to national rebirth and consciousness,’’ he said.
Galadima said that the youths must shun campus cultism, armed robbery and such other vices that could undermine their dreams.
