JUSTICE Atinuke Ipaye of a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja has fixed February 18, 2016 for hearing of Oluwaseun Oladapo who allegedly killed the late human rights crusader, Kunle Fadipe.

The presiding judge adjourned the hearing of Oladapo’s defence following the submission of his counsel, Mr. Walter Oduagbaka, that he was not privy to hear from his client.

According to him: “I have not been given chance to discuss with the defendant in order to be well briefed and for the defendant to be prepare for cross-examination. On this note, I pray the court for short adjournment date.”

But in her response, the prosecution lead counsel, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Mrs. Idowu Alakija, who objected to Oduagbaka’s submission, said the defendant counsel had enough time in the course of trial.

Justice Ipaye, however, granted the prayer of the defendant counsel on the ground that the counsel needs opportunity to discuss with his client for proper legal representation.

She subsequently adjourned the matter till February 18, 2016.
