Court remands teenager for alleged defilement of 2 minors in Ota

Sango-Ota (Ogun), Aug. 4, 2015 (NAN) An Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun on Tuesday remanded 17-year-old Dayo Gbadegbola in custody for allegedly defiling two minors.
The accused, who resides at No. 30 Ashimolowo Street, Toll-gate, Ota, was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and defiling two minors aged four and six years, respectively.
Prosecutor Ebibomino Itaita told the court that the accused had an unlawful carnal knowledge of the minors by sleeping with them on July 20 and July 22 at his residence.
Ebibomino said the offences contravened Sections 218 (i) and 360 (i) of the Criminal Code, Revised Law of Ogun, 2006.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Funke Odubanjo, ordered that the accused be remanded in Borstal Institution of Adigbe, Abeokuta, pending the advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Odubanjo adjourned the case till Oct. 9, for mention.
