As part of activities to commemorate its 35th anniversary, the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, South-South 7, in Ikom, Cross River State, has donated free food items and cash gifts to members and non-members of the church.
The church earlier embarked on free feeding of members of the public each Sunday for over 10 weeks, paid hospital bills for the sick, sponsored surgical operations for the poor, and gave full scholarships to less privileged students.
The Pastor in charge of MFM Wonder City Region, Ikom, and the Council Chairman of MFM Ikom axis, Pastor Morenikeji Jesusina, who spearheaded the programme, said the gesture was aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the needy, feeding the hungry and emulating Jesus Christ, following the footsteps of his father, Dr. D.K. Olukoya.
He stressed that feeding is part of meeting the immediate needs of people, who may die the next minute or hour if they remain without food.
Jesusina revealed that touching the lives of the masses physically, apart from the spiritual impact through the deliverance prayer programme, is a way of bringing souls to God’s kingdom and fulfilling the scripture where Christ urges us to show love.
