The chairman of Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi, Mrs. Euphemia Nwali, has presented a budget estimate of N9billion for the 2025 fiscal year.

Presenting the budget estimate to the local government Legislative council for approval at Local Government Headquarters at Onueke,
Nwali said that this year’s budget tagged Budget of Unity is bigger than the previous year.

The Chairman noted that the budget will look into critical sectors like Infrastructure, health, education, empowerment, and others.

The breakdown of the budget showed that personnel cost general is N3,876,954,955.65 personnel cost is N3,042,331,172.66, overhead cost is N834,623,783.32 and capital expenditure is N4,974,953,359.92, bringing it to total to N9,235,459,398.56.

She urged the House to approve the budget, adding that she would supervise the implementation of the budget.

The chairman stated that in the year under review, she was able to put some projects on the ground, which included the installation of transformers, installation of solar street lights, empowerment, road construction, water projects, distribution of over 80 vehicles to vice chairman, councilors, youths, and stakeholders and many others.
