Eko Boys line up completed projects to mark alma mater’s 112th Founders’ Day

The Eko Boys High School Old Boys Association (EKOBA) is to commission some projects executed at the Mushin campus of the learning institution to commemorate the 112th Founders’ Day celebration of the school.

The Eko Boys High School Old Boys Association (EKOBA) is to commission some projects executed at the Mushin campus of the learning institution to commemorate the 112th Founders’ Day celebration of the school. It was established by the late Revd. William Benjamin Euba on January 13, 1913.
A statement by the National Public Relations Officer, Ekorian Temitope Oluwabiyi, disclosed that the association will on January 10, commission the E’79/Adefule Gate and E’75 Pedestrian Gate/Gate House, as well as the E81/82 Basketball Court with the Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, as Special Guest of Honour, and the Director General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Lekan Falodun, as Special Guest.
Oluwabiyi explained that the E’79/Adefule Gate commissioning is also in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the passing out of Eko Boys’ High School by the 1979 set, led by Ekorian Michael Akeyo, while the Pedestrian Gate/Gate House is to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1975 set, led by Ekorian Adewale Tijani.
He said the inauguration would be preceded by the third Revd. Euba Memorial Lecture on “Advancement in Policing: Roles of Citizens in Community Policing and Protection” at 10.30 a.m., to be delivered by CSP Charles Akinrosoye.
Panelists to discuss the paper will include Ekorian AIG James Caulcrick (rtd); Ekorian Kehinde Adebayo, MD, Hogan Guards Ltd; Alhaji Shotunde, Chairman, PCRC, Idi-Oro/Alakara Zone, and Crime Correspondent with The Nation, Tajudeen Adebanjo.
It will be moderated by Ekorian Rilwan ‘Bola Fashina, immediate past National President of EKOBA, while Ekorians from all sectors of the nation’s economy are to be in attendance.
The 112th EBHS Founders’ Day anniversary celebrations would be concluded with a thanksgiving service inside the Revd. Euba Multipurpose Hall, within the school campus, will be officiated by priests from the Methodist Church Cathedral, Palm Avenue, Mushin from 11 a.m. on January 13.
