While working at IHS Towers, one of the largest telecommunications infrastructure providers in
Africa, Ifeanyi led several groundbreaking projects that transformed how remote telecom sites are powered. His innovative work not only reduced downtime and maintenance costs but also supported Nigeria’s shift toward greener, more efficient energy solutions.
One of his biggest contributions was the design and rollout of hybrid energy systems integrating solar panels, lithium-ion batteries, diesel generators, and public power grids to form what engineers call a “microgrid.”
These smart systems allowed telecom sites to run reliably even in areas with unstable power supply, and helped the company reduce its carbon emissions and energy costs by over 40%.
Ifeanyi didn’t stop at infrastructure.
