The Ecumenical Synod of Bishops, Archbishops, Apostles, and Senior Clergy (ESBAASC) has urged clergy and church leaders to engage in deep self-examination and embrace courage in order to fulfill their divine calling.
The call was made during ESBAASC’s 2025 Annual National Conference, themed “Unleashing the Life Worthy of Your Calling,” held in Ofatedo, Osogbo, Osun State.
International Prelate of ESBAASC, Archbishop Professor Matthew Olubunmi, stressed that living a life worthy of God’s purpose requires courage, faith, and introspection.
He referenced biblical figures such as Joseph, Esther, and Paul, who exemplified perseverance and faith despite challenges.
“Unleashing a life worthy of your calling requires self-examination, courage, and unwavering faith,” Archbishop Olubunmi said. “Let us remove whatever holds us back — fear, complacency, or doubt — and step boldly into the destiny God has prepared for us.”
National Prelate of ESBAASC, Archbishop Gbenga Ayansola (JP), said the times demand courage, resilience, and authenticity from church leaders, urging participants to reflect on the integrity of their witness and commitment to God’s work.
The conference featured discussions, prayers, and worship sessions aimed at addressing challenges faced by congregations and society at large.
A delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, who was appointed National Royal Patron of ESBAASC.
Highlights of the event included the consecration of Archbishop Taiwo Ojomo (JP) as Deputy National Prelate and the appointment of Bishop Mike Bamidele as Osun State Patron. The conference was hosted by Osun State Prelate, Bishop Dr. Veronica Bolajoko Orisaleye (JP).
