FG declares public holiday for Easter
The Federal Government has declared two days public holiday to mark this year’s Easter celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, who made the declaration on behalf of the government said: “Friday 3rd April and Monday 6th April are declared holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations.”
The statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Magaji, said Moro also “enjoined all Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Easter celebration which are love, peace, justice and kindness in their daily affairs and through this, contribute to the development of the nation.”
The occasion according to the statement should be used by all Nigerians to pray for the peace and unity across the country.
