An agricultural firm, DeBranch Farmers, has trained farmers in Kwassam, a community in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on sustainable farming methods to boost food production.
During the empowerment programme, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Sandra Victor-Gwafan, said they aim to improve the productivity of the beneficiaries by keeping them abreast of techniques and tools for sustainable farming.
“At DeBranch Farmers, we believe that agriculture can be both productive and regenerative. This belief guided our session, which covered critical topics ranging from soil health and composting to climate-smart farming techniques and water conservation strategies,” she said.
“This is just the beginning. DeBranch Farmers is committed to walking alongside these hardworking men and women, offering continued support, training, and access to sustainable agricultural resources. Kwassam is one of many communities we aim to reach in our mission to transform rural agriculture through innovation and collaboration.”
She also called on Nigerians to support their efforts to improve food production with organic farming practices.
