FIRS appoints Joel-Onowakpo as states’ coordinator

The Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Babatunde Fowler, has appointed the immediate past Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Joel-Onowakpo Thomas as the agency’s Coordinator for Delta, Edo and Rivers States.

Joel-Onowakpo was among twelve others, who were named as state Coordinators of FIRS recently.
Head of Communication & Servicom Department of FIRS, Wahab Gbadamosi, explained in a statement that each of the 13 State Coordinators would supervise operations in their areas of jurisdictions.

He added that, the introduction of State Coordinator structure in the FIRS was to help widen the net to capture more registered corporate and individual taxpayers towards increased revenue generation.
