Foundation tasks govt on enduring education policies

The National Coordinator of Ose Brain Quest Foundation, Mrs. Juliet Keshinro, who gave the advice at a briefing on the 10th edition of the foundation in Lagos, said weak policies in the education sector has barred the country from competing favourably with its contemporary in other climes.
 
“What helps to make life meaningful is quality education and that is what this foundation has been doing in the last eight years with the aim of promoting excellence in schools and building tomorrow’s leaders today. So, government should come up with policies that encourage intellectual competitions among children that would help build our tomorrow’s leader today,” she said.
 
The foundation, established in 2013 by Aidanmwosa Philo, is aimed at empowering and nurturing the mental and mathematical skills of students. It is also encouraging healthy and competitive work amongst the various students and schools.
 
The founder, Philo, who is a mathematician, said: “My passion was fuelled by the need to help build mental mathematics in children amongst various diverse ways of learning.
