IN addition to the existing 80 agricultural equipment hiring centres, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has established additional 60 equipment-hiring centres across the country.
Permanent Secretary, Architect Sonny Echono, who disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Abuja said it was part of effort to ensure expanded dry season cultivation in the country and to make up for the loses incurred as a result of the weather condition.
Echono said the establishment of the additional equipment hiring centers would also help make up the gap created through the ministry’s inability to implement the regular season Growth Enhancement Scheme,
