Group harps on youth mentorship

Concerned about raising a generation of young professionals who would collaborate, innovate, uplift one another and contribute to the society, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), Youth Province 2, recently launched its Young Professionals Club (YPC) in Lagos.

Chief Host, Dr. Sola Owoeye, said these are youths who seek knowledge, personal growth and reject mediocrity. They are driven by the desire to make a difference.’’

The event with theme “Leveraging Network and Mentorship for professional Prosperity “brought together captains of industry, clerics, technology leaders and youths.

Owoeye observed that many youths were joining secular clubs and were initiated into secret cults. These actions  made some of them to loose faith in God in process, adding: “There is a need for knowledgeable vibrant and formidable young stars  to be part of  healthy religious clubs.”

National Youth Pastor of RCCG, Dr. Olayemi Temowo, said: “We are concerned about raising a generation of professionals who would uphold the
values of probity and integrity ”

He added that the religious group aimed at accommodating 40 million people in the next few years.

Temowo disclosed that the Club membership growth had increased from 200 to 450 members, while others were still signing up till date.

RCCG David’s Chamber Area Ikorodu, Pastor Oke Mayowa, said: “The Young Professionals Club shines brightly in the realm of professionalism, offering Christian youths a platform to connect and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. ”
