Hospital opens medical outreach for Lagos residents

Bamgboye

As part of its move to expand healthcare services in Lagos, St. Nicholas Hospital has launched a medical outreach for residents all through the weekends of this month.

Chief Clinical Director of the hospital, Dr. Ebun Bamgboye, said the event would feature free tests in Surulere community, including blood pressure, blood sugar level, urine tests, consultation and medication.

He had equally promised Lagos settlements a better deal through expansion of facilities. Bamgboye, who made the pledge at the opening of the fifth branch of the medical facility in Surulere, noted that the goal of the medical institution was to ensure access to quality and standard healthcare services by the citizenry in line with the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) template, as well as promote ethical and evidence-based medicine.

His words: “We have facilities that are quite equivalent to what many of these people that practise abroad have. In terms of the processes that we have in place, they are similar to what is obtained anywhere else in the world. We are privileged to have started off, as far as the provision of healthcare in Nigeria is concerned.”

The CCD said the new branch has dedicated members of staff willing to deliver professional services and cater for the needs of the people.
“Building on our reputation for delivering quality healthcare services at a competitive rate, we are confident to replicate the good service we are known for. Individuals and corporate organisations in Surulere can now access a wide range of healthcare services, including family medicine, immunisation, ante-natal care, paediatrics, laboratory services, pharmacy, geriatric clinic and home visits.”
