House of Reps member blames Tinubu for suffering in Nigeria

A member of the House of Representatives, Nnamdi Nzechi, has called on Nigerians to hold President Bola Tinubu responsible for the suffering in the country today.

Nzechi who represents the Ndokwa/ Ukwani Federal constituency in Delta State made the call on Sunday evening in Asaba, Delta State, during an NUJ programme, parley.

He lamented that the country was stagnant, and Nigerians were suffering because the economic policies of the President were working against the people.

Nzechi, who backs the creation of Anioma State but in the South-South region, said that the Tinubu administration policies were not working because of too much taxation.

“Nigeria is not moving forward under the APC-led federal government. Policies without remedies are not working. There is too much taxation. The policies are harsh, and leading to too much suffering in the country,” he said.

The legislator also blamed Tinubu for not properly enforcing the laws, saying that the constitutional amendment was not the challenge but effective implementation.

“Our major challenge is not the National Assembly. National Assembly made laws from time immemorial. The law is made, but no proper execution of the law. And we don’t care to obey the law,” he said.
