Kogi State Governor Captain Idris Wada has assured the people of the state that he would not promise the people what he could not give them.

The governor who is also the flag bearer of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 21st gubernatorial election gave the indication at Ajaka, the headquarters of Igalamela/Odolu local government area during his campaign rally to seek the mandate of the people.

The governor said that his administration would continue to provide projects that would stand the test of time rather than providing projects that are politically motivated.

He added that he would not promise to build castle in the sky, when he could not provide the basic need of the people.

Wada indicated that he had fulfilled the promises he made to the council, explaining that his administration had provided electricity, feeder roads and drinkable water to many villages in the local government, noting that if given another mandate he was desirous of doing more to uplift the standard of the people.

He reminded the people about his promises during his campaign in 2011, where he said he would provide basic necessities of life like electricity, water, road and quality health care, which he had been able to accomplished in the face of dwindling allocation.

“I took free medical health service to your door steps to enable you have access to quality health care which is lacking in rural areas. If giving another mandate, I will not relent in consolidating on the achievements I had recorded in this council.”
