INDIAN firms were more dominant in Lagos yesterday as the third Nigeria International pharma manufactures exhibition 2015 entered day two.

Though the expo, organised by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMG-MAN), witnessed a low turnout around lunchtime yesterday, most of the visitors clustered around the Indian and some Chinese firms that were on ground to showcase drugs making technology.

Out of about 130 exhibitors present, 53 were Indians; Nigeria had 38 and China 30. The only European country present was Germany which had only Bosch Packaging Technology, while Ethiopia was the only African country present, with Sino-Ethiop Associate.

Chairman of PMG-MAN, Okey Akpa, said the expo was an opportunity for stakeholders in the health sector to exchange information, products, services and ideas towards achieving the health related goals and other development initiatives in Nigeria and West African region.
