Kebbi: Police arrest nine Yansakai attackers of Government Technical College, Zuru

Kebbi State Police Command has arrested nine suspected Yansakai who attacked Government Technical College Zuru and killed seven people last week.

In a statement signed by its Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nafiu Abubakar, the Command said the Puff Adder personnel and Special Anti-Robbery Squad who visited the scene made arrest after their investigation.

“On March 20, criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide and causing grievous hurt suspected to have been committed by members of Yansakai at the Government Technical College Zuru, where the notorious group armed with offensive weapons attacked, maimed and killed seven people while five sustained injury, which they intended to rustle their cows and sheep have been arrested,” he added.

According to the statement, the suspects would soon be charged to court after the Command has concluded their investigation.

Abubakar called on the people to remain calm as the Command is working hard to rid the state of criminals.
