THE kidnapped mother of Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mrs.Patience Tam- George, has regained her freedom after spending barely five days in the hands of her captors.
Mrs.Tam -George, 85,was abducted on her way back from church at her family house in Okrika Local Government Area of the State by three masked hoodlums who forced her into a waiting boat and fled to an unknown destination.

Confirming the release, the State Commissioner for Information, Dr Austin Tam- George, said, his mother, was freed late Thursday’s night and is currently in a private clinic for evaluation and care.
Tam- George said: “My mother, Mrs Patience Tam-George, was freed late last night by her captors.She is now in a private hospital for evaluation and care.

“We thank the Government and people of Rivers State, the state security agencies, the media, and countless others around the world for their support, solidarity and prayers during the horrific ordeal”.He added.
Also, the State police command has confirmed her release.
