In a bid to keep the peace and ensure development in Kogi state, no fewer than 50 chieftains of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) have met in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) .

However, it was not yet clear whether the Governor-elect, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his aggrieved running mate, Mr James Abiodun Faleke were at the parley called at the instance of the Minister of State, Labour and Productivity, Mr James Ocholi (SAN).

Among those in attendance at the two-hour meeting of stakeholders were Mr Adinoyi Ojo-Onukaba who was an aide to former President Olusegun Obasanjo  but hails from Kogi Central Senatorial District.

Among decisions taken by the 50 personalities from the three zones present at the meeting were that Kogi needs peace, unity and reconciliation; as leaders they should encourage the people to be law abiding, refrain from inciting, reckless and hateful speeches and writings.
