Lead varsity introduces mandatory skill acquisition for students

He stated that this is aimed at ensuring that their graduates are certified entrepreneur.
Onabajo at a press conference organised by the institution to herald its 10th anniversary and 8th Convocation Ceremonies tagged: the Launch of Enterprise Graduates “Class of 2015, held at the institution’s conference room, said “We are aware of the timid unemployment rate in the country and in order to avoid our graduates being victims of such we insist that our students acquire one or two vocational skills based on their interest. the entrepreneurship center was set up to enhance and train them.

“Students take out time to meet with our carefully selected trainers on batik, tye-dye, catering, bakery, event decorations, hairstyling and Spa among others. They are to be certified before graduating on on of the skills of their choice.

“Our B.Sc entrepreneurship students are constantly challenged to be creative and competitions on business plan model are encouraged.

Onabajo also pointed out that the department of management and accounting of the institution is collaborating with ICAN to ensure that students are chartered before graduation.
