A Labour Party chieftain and National Coordinator of the Liberal Progressive and Patriotic Members Congress Peace, Dr. Kingsley Oghogho Okundaye, has strongly condemned the alleged assault on social media influencer, Precious Oruche, popularly known as “Mama Pee.”
The attack, reportedly carried out by thugs linked to factional Labour Party chairman Julius Abure, has sparked outrage within the Obidient movement.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Okundaye stressed that freedom of speech is a constitutional right and criticized the use of violence to silence dissent.
He called on the Nigeria Police Force to conduct a thorough and unbiased investigation, insisting that no individual should be allowed to oppress others for political gain.
Okundaye urged Nigerians to embrace political tolerance and reject the culture of violence, warning that no nation can thrive under the shadow of gangsterism.
Reaffirming his stance against cruelty and oppression, he appealed for an impartial investigation, stressing that justice must prevail irrespective of the political status of those involved.
