Meet fast-rising Nollywood actress Lydia Achebe set for stardom

A budding actress who started off in the show biz industry by contesting & winning three beauty pageants in 2016 (when she debuted), 2019 & 2020 namely The Nigerian Princess, Miss Nigeria (finalist):Miss Anambra & Face Of Beauty Nigeria Photogenic.


The 26 year old ex-beauty Queen is also a lawyer, fashion model & business owner who was called to bar in 2018 after graduating from Igbinedion University, Okada (Edo state).

Considering her passion for acting, she decided to attend the Royal Arts Academy Film School in Lagos in 2019 & proceeded went to join the acting Industry professionally in 2020.

She was featured in the popular series ‘’The Johnsons’’ as Spiff’s girlfriend. She also co-starred in the series “My Flatmates’’

in 2022, Lydia took on a lead role as Honey in the movie titled “Grip”, directed and produced by Emma Akaemeh where she delivered a stellar performance.This has resulted in several lead roles for her recent works & working alongside known actors e.g Eddie Watson, Gracecharis Bassey, Ebube Nwagbo, Ray Emodi, Mary Lazarus, Scarlet Gomez, Nazo Okezie, Stan Nze, Jibola Dabo amongst others.Some of these movies include ‘Irreplaceable’, ‘Betrayed Sister’, ‘Black Juice’, ‘Daddy’s Girl’ & ‘A Sail Through The Storm’ courtesy of directors & producers, Okey Ifeanyi, Austin Ogbuefi, Ruth Kadiri, Hansmills, Emma Ayanka.

This got her due recognition in 2022 as she bagged a double of awards at Scream Awards as Most Promising Actress & Africa Choice Awards as Most Promising Movie Star 2022. Previously, she won awards such as Most Enterprising Beauty Queen of the year (2018), Nigeria Beauty Queen Hall of Fame (2020) & The BayLife 100 Most influential Women (2021).Lydia is a budding talent who has got all it takes to become a household name & Nigeria’s next big movie star.
