Monarch calls for unity among Remo people
The people of Remoland have been called upon to make unity their watchword in order to have a fair share of the dividends of democracy being distributed all over the State by the Government.
The Ewusi of Makun, Oba Timothy Akinsanya made the call while speaking with the Sagamu Zonal Information Officer, Mrs Iyabode Araba, in his palace Makun, Sagamu.
Oba Akinsanya noted that Remo kingdom occupies a vital position as one of the Zones that constitute Ogun State, adding that people of the Zone must be united for the overall development of the land.
He opined that one of the key areas that can galvanise development was to arrest the growing trend of youth unemployment and focus more on wealth creation, urging other Royal fathers to champion the attraction of additional developmental projects to Remoland.
“Today and tomorrow of Remoland rest on economic prosperity through wealth creation and youth empowerment. Our youths should be encouraged to take up vocational skills so that they could turn to employers of labour and not job seekers”.
Oba Akinsanya explained that peaceful co-existence would attract investments, enhance development and improve the standard of living of any community, urging Sagamu sons and daughters to maintain their leading role for the socio economic and political development of Remoland.
The Royal father enjoined youths who are the future leaders to be good ambassadors of their community and not allow themselves to be used as instrument of cultism, advising them to engage in profitable occupation, as an idle hand is the devil’s workshop.
The Monarch lauded the State Government for creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive thereby making the State the investment destination of choice.
He appealed to investors operating in Remoland not to relent in the discharge of their Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).
