The Nasarawa State Police Command has assured residents of comprehensive security measures to ensure a peaceful and safe celebration during the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir festivities.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, gave this assurance in a statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, in Lafia.
CP Jauro extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful in the state, urging them to use the holy occasion to pray for peace, unity, and progress in Nigeria.
“In line with the Command’s unwavering commitment to public safety and crime prevention, adequate personnel and logistics have been deployed across the state to ensure a hitch-free celebration,” the statement read.
The police chief warned criminal elements against any attempt to disrupt public peace, affirming that the Command remains resolute in ensuring law and order before, during, and after the Sallah celebrations.
He urged Muslim faithful, fun seekers, and all residents to be law-abiding, vigilant, and to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the holiday period.
Jauro also called on parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against engaging in unlawful or disruptive behavior.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Nasarawa State.
