According to the foundation which urged wealthy Nigerians to help the indigent as rising inflation continues to exacerbate hunger and hardship, in 2025 another 10,000 families will be empowered.
The founder of Rafeeqee Foundation, Medinat Lawal-Famuditimi expressed the foundation’s commitment to addressing the economic challenges bedeviling citizens. She said: “The foundation has positively impacted the lives of vulnerable individuals and families with numerous programmes across the country, including scholarships, empowerment, building boreholes, payment of hospital bills, adoption of orphans and monthly stipends for elderly people. Given the current challenges in the country, Rafeeqee Foundation has decided to feed over 10,000 vulnerable people during 2025 Ramadan.
The foundation’s Ramadan feeding project, successfully supported over 30,000 fasting Muslim families nationwide in Nigeria. Our Ramadan feeding initiatives primarily benefit individuals in Nigeria and we have also extended support to families in Niger, Benin Republic, and Rwanda.”
