The Niger State Police Command has arrested two suspected electric transformer vandals, Idris Garba, 21, and Saifullahi Alkasim, 28, both from Alagbado, Minna, on September 1, 2025.

According to a statement by the spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the suspects were arrested by police operatives of ‘B’ Division Minna, at a transformer spot within the area during an attempt to vandalise the cables, adding that two others escaped.

Abiodun explained that the suspects arrested have been transferred to SCID Minna for further investigation and prosecution.
