Former President, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mrs Toki Mabogunje will this Friday, July 4, in Lagos, be installed as the 65th President, Rotary Club, Lagos.
Mabogunje is a lawyer and the Founder, Toki Mabogunje & Co.
She was the third female president of LCCI and is currently the Vice Chair, Africa, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), World Chamber Federation.
The installation ceremony has the Vice Chancellor , University of Lagos – Prof Folasade Ogunsola as the Guest of Honour.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Senior partner of AELEX, a legal firm, Mr Lawrence Fubara Anga, is the event’s Chairman.
Mabogunje is expected to lead the club as it commences a new Rotary year from July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
The Club intends to execute projects across Rotary’s areas of focus: Peace Building & Conflict Resolution; Disease Prevention and Treatment; Water, Sanitation & Hygiene; Maternal and Child Health; Basic Education and Literacy; Community and Economic Development; and Supporting the Environment.
The installation, holding in the evening at the Condo Event Centre, 1, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, also includes the induction of the 2025/2026 Board Fund Raising Dinner of the prestigious club.
The Rotary Club of Lagos was Chartered on June 3, 1961 and is the oldest active Rotary Club in Nigeria.
