Following the rigorous stages of Zakat and Sadaqah Foundation (ZSF) Business Plan Competition (BPC), 20 Small Business Owners emerged winners of the competition and were handed N1milion each as startup and business growth grants.
Speaking during the 9th Entrepreneurship Development Project Award and Prize Giving Ceremony, the Executive Director of ZSF, Prince Sulaiman Olagunju, said the goal of the organisation has always been to help youths grow in their various businesses through provision of capital seeds and mentoring. “Our goal has always been to empower youths with not just the capital, but also the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to succeed. Our training sessions and the mentorship platform have equipped winners with essential skills and insights guiding their entrepreneur journey.”
He advised the winners of the competition to judiciously utilise the funds given to them, noting that the grant is a trust which they must use for the purpose it is meant for.
