WHD: Firm lights up Lagos skyline, draws over 5,000 people for walkHearton

Power Oil has reaffirmed its decade-long commitment to heart health in Nigeria with a vibrant celebration of this year’s World Heart Day, combining large-scale public advocacy with practical health interventions that have touched millions of lives.

The brand, known for championing healthy living, lit up the Lagos skyline with a spectacular drone banner carrying the advocacy message “Let Your Heart Thank You,” an unforgettable call to action that merged art and health awareness across the city’s skies.

The aerial display highlighted Power Oil’s mission to inspire everyday choices that protect the heart, which beats over 100,000 times daily. According to the company, this year’s edition of WalkHearton, a yearly heart-health walk, registered 10,370 participants, with 5,250 joining the physical event.

The Marketing Manager, Oil Portfolio, Tolaram Group, Roland Akpe, said over the past decade, the initiative has provided millions of free health checks and supported life-saving surgeries, reinforcing Power Oil’s reputation as more than just a cooking oil but a partner in wellness.

“Beyond moments of spectacle, Power Oil continues to back its promise with credibility. The Certified Healthy seal reassures users as to the standard of quality we bring to Nigerians’ meals, while Be Certified Fit calls and inspires Nigerians to incorporate physical activity as a daily habit,” Akpe said.

This year’s fitness drive also saw Power Oil team up with renowned dancer and fitness expert Kaffy to transform TV studios into fitness and dance sessions, while encouraging Nigerians to embrace movement as a lifestyle.

“From the meals you cook to the choices you make for your body, Power Oil stands as more than oil. It is an everyday companion for those who want to live fully and remain connected to the ones they love,” the company stated.
