Ogunkelu bags award of excellence for diplomatic contributions

Former Minister of Cooperation and Integration in Africa, Chief Dr. Bimbola Ogunkelu has been honored with an Award of Excellence by the International College for Diplomatic Affairs.

The award recognises his contributions to the diplomatic community. The event took place in Lagos, during an exclusive panel session themed “One-on-One with the Former Minister.”

At the event, Ogunkelu shared his experiences and insights gained during his tenure as Minister, highlighting his successes, projects, and approaches to international diplomacy.

The Award of Excellence was presented to Ogunkelu by Ambassador Dr. Tasie Njemonwu Daniel, Director General and Head of Mission of the International College for Diplomatic Affairs.

In his appreciation message Ogunkelu thanked the International College for Diplomatic Affairs for the recognition and stated that African Nations must cooperate for the continent to move forward, adding that the cooperation can only happen when Africans put Africa first in foreign policies.

This recognition underscores Ogunkelu’s dedication to promoting diplomatic excellence and his commitment to fostering cooperation and integration in Africa.
