
The Adamawa State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its fight against crime with the recovery of a stolen Toyota RAV4 and the arrest of two suspects linked to the theft.
In a press release on Wednesday morning, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the vehicle, bearing registration number RSH 548 BB, was reported stolen on December 23, 2024, by its owner, Mr. Aliyu Umar of Wuro Hausa, Yola South Local Government Area.
Acting on the complaint, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, swiftly deployed a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Yola, SP Habib Muhammed Musa.
Their diligent efforts culminated in the arrest of 25-year-old Yusuf Mohammed Isa of Yola South local government and Faisal Mahmud of Mubi North local government.
The suspects are currently in police custody and are cooperating with investigators to uncover more details and potentially recover additional stolen items.
CP Morris reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state, urging the public to provide timely and accurate information to assist law enforcement efforts.
“The suspects will face diligent prosecution upon the completion of our investigation,” he assured.
