The Pastor of Christ Embassy Benin Zone 1, Pastor Moses Olayemi, has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for a better country.
Olayemi said Nigeria has a soul that can be reached through the collective efforts of its people, particularly through prayers, to attract God’s blessings and intervention.
The clergyman made the remark during the kick-off of Nigeria’s Independence Day Reachout World Nigeria with Rhapsody of Realities Campaign in Benin City as part of activities to mark the country’s 64th Independence Anniversary in Benin.
He emphasized certain qualities for a country to be great in economic stability and prosperity, education, and innovation.
Others are cultural richness and diversity, political stability and governance, environmental sustainability, international influence and diplomacy, social equity and inclusion, and quality of human life.
He said a strong nation is one whose citizens stand for truth and honesty, adding that “Strong nations are built on truth and honesty. Strong families, businesses, churches, organizations, governments, and politics are built on truth and honesty.”
