NOBSAA appoints Monalisa Agbata as communications director

The Network of Blockchain Solutions Advocates (NOBSAA) has announced the appointment of Monalisa Agbata to its Board of Trustees.

In addition to her board role, she will serve as the organization’s Director of Marketing and Communications, a position that will place her at the forefront of NOBSAA’s mission to boost brand visibility and strengthen its global positioning.

Agbata, a prominent voice in Africa’s emerging technology ecosystem, brings a wealth of expertise in blockchain, Web3, and strategic marketing. Her appointment is widely seen as a strategic move by NOBSAA to advance blockchain education, advocacy, and policy influence across the continent.

Reacting to the appointment, Agbata described the role as both a privilege and a call to service.

“This appointment is both an honor and a responsibility. I believe blockchain is not just a financial tool but a transformational technology that can redefine trust, transparency, and opportunities across industries. At NOBSAA, I look forward to advancing conversations that shape policy, educate stakeholders, and position Africa as a leader in blockchain-driven solutions,” she said.

As Director of Marketing and Communications, Agbata will lead NOBSAA’s external engagement strategy, strengthen ties with regulators, businesses, and communities, and expand collaborations with global partners. She is expected to ensure that the network’s advocacy aligns with regional realities and international best practices.

NOBSAA has been at the forefront of promoting blockchain adoption across Africa, engaging stakeholders in government, academia, civil society, and the private sector. Its mandate is focused on equipping the continent to participate meaningfully in the global blockchain revolution.
