The Northern Ambassadors for Renewed Hope, a coalition representing the 19 northern states, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
At a press conference in Abuja, the group, with over one million members, reaffirmed its support for Tinubu’s leadership and the Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a roadmap for Nigeria’s economic growth, national unity, and social development.
The coalition also named the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, as its Grand Patron, in recognition of his role in strengthening national security and empowering youths in the North.
National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Usman Musa, praised Tinubu’s bold and inclusive policies, noting their impact on agriculture, infrastructure, and job creation. “President Tinubu has shown remarkable vision in steering Nigeria toward prosperity. His reforms are laying a solid foundation for a stronger, more united nation,” he said.
Musa highlighted progress in the North through agricultural support, improved rural infrastructure, and revitalised education, saying these initiatives are “real results, not promises.”
He commended Tinubu’s ability to bridge regional divides, adding, “Tinubu’s leadership transcends tribal lines; he governs with fairness and inclusivity.”
On Matawalle, Musa described him as “a leader who understands the pulse of the North,” applauding his reforms in the defence sector and his commitment to improving troop welfare.
“Matawalle listens to the people, works closely with traditional leaders, and empowers youth through skills and entrepreneurship programmes,” he added.
The coalition said its endorsement reflects faith in Tinubu’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria, calling on northerners and Nigerians at large to rally behind his re-election bid.
“Tinubu and Matawalle are a formidable team whose efforts in governance and security are setting Nigeria on a path to greatness,” Musa affirmed.
