NUC approves Nursing Science, Med Lab, other courses for KolaDaisi Varsity

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved new academic programmes that will lead to the award of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) for KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved new academic programmes that will lead to the award of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) for KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The programmes include Nursing Science; Medical Laboratory Science, Public Health, Human Anatomy and Human Physiology.

This was contained in a statement signed by Margaret Innocent, the university’s Public Relations Officer.

The NUC approval was convened via a letter addressed to KoladDaisi University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Olatunbosun (SAN) and signed by the Director, Academic Planning, Dr. N.B. Saliu.

Delegations from the NUC were at the University in April 2023 to evaluate the institution’s teaching and learning facilities, as well as, the available personnel for the five medical programmes.

These courses are additions to the already accredited courses offered at the University.

The other courses are Bachelor of Law (LL.B), B.Sc Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Mass Communication, Information and Media Studies, Library and Information Science and
Broadcasting.

Others are Political Science and International Relations; B.A. English and Literary Studies, B.A. History and Diplomatic Studies.

In the Faculty of Applied Sciences, are B.Sc Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering,
Information Technology, Physics with Electronics, Mathematics and Statistics.

The PRO said:”KolaDaisi University has a track record of moulding outstanding graduates who have over the years favourably competed with products of other universities within and beyond the shores of Nigeria”.
