NUJ decries rising cases of violence by transport operators

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Benue state council has expressed disgust over the increased number of hooliganism, thuggery and cult related activities among bus drivers, conductors and motorcycle riders popularly called “okada”in the state.

State NUJ Chairman, Chris Atsaka who frowned at the increase while playing host to the leadership of War Against Thuggery, Cultistism and Hooliganism (WATCH) led by its Coordinator, Cephas Tertindi Adom at the NUJ house, Makurdi, further described the increase the social vices as “alarming” and called for more efforts to curtail the menaces.
