The primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Nicholas D. Okoh and his predecessor, Most Rev. Peter Jasper Akinola (rtd) have felicitated with the Chairman of Laity in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Justice Babasola Opeoluwa Ogunade who marked his 80th birthday yesterday.

In his goodwill message, which was delivered by the Bishop of Lagos West, Rt. Rev, Dr. James Olusola Odedeji, Okoh described the celebrant as an industrious and honest man who has served the church unswervingly.

Akinola, who spoke with The Guardian shortly after the thanksgiving service held at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, G.R.A, Ikeja, Lagos in honour of the celebrant said, “Baba Justice Ogunade has always been a great man. During my time as primate of this church, he played very important roles in the House of Laity.”

The Diocesan Bishop of Lagos West, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev, Dr. James Olusola Odedeji urged the celebrant to continue to serve God and ensure that he pleases God in everything he does.

Others who sent their greetings include the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Nicholas D. Okoh, and former Diocesan Bishop of Lagos West, Rt. Rev. Dr. Peter Awelewa Adebiyi, among others.
