In a statement made available to The Guardian, Okonkwo wondered why “APGA National Chairman, Victor Umeh, is insisting on laying claim to the senatorial seat” when “ the PDP and its supporters once again proved that the party is the grassroots platform in Anambra.”
The PDP member added that the victory of the PDP in the election “ is a testimony to the strengthen of the party and unity of the members, especially in the face of organised opposition”.
