Leader of the Northern Youth Coalition, Yerima Shettima, has declared that only the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar can move Nigeria forward.

Shettima, who stated this in a chat with The Guardian, said the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has nothing to offer Nigerians.

He urged the electorate not to repeat the mistake of voting for President Muhammadu Buhari in the next general elections, stressing that his administration is filled with ‘lies and deceit.”

According to him, Atiku would win the election and help in taking Nigeria out of the woods.

He said: “The ruling APC had at all levels indulged in cheap deception, especially in the first two years that it came to power.

“The year 2018 is one particular moment in the history of Nigeria that I will never forget in a hurry. Elected leaders from local government to the presidency were committing a lot blunders.”

Shettima expressed concern about the economy, which has been worst hit, as it seems Nigerians will hopelessly move into 2019 with an embarrassingly weak naira.

“A naira on a free fall for three years has exposed the lies and deceit of the ruling party. For now, it is obvious that the lies and deceit of the past four years have come to an end.

Meanwhile, the South East Coordinator of the Presidential Support Committee (PSC), Mr. Chermberline Adiaso, has declared that Buhari would have a landslide victory in the South East and South South zones.

Adiaso, who stated this in a statement to newsmen yesterday in Umuahia, said the impressive turnout of supporters at the start of the Presidential Campaign in Uyo, in Akwa Ibom, was the positive sign.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports Adiaso as saying that the president had done well in the two areas to guarantee his re-election.

“Some of Buhari’s achievements in the South East include the implementation of the Home Grown School Feeding Programme (HGSFP) in all the five states, whereas there was random selection of states in other geo-political zones,” he said.

Adiaso maintained that the second Niger Bridge project and the Enugu-Port Harcourt dual carriageway reconstruction, as well as rehabilitation in Aba are part of the footprints of Buhari in the southeast.
