Onukaba To Give Health Top Priority In Kogi
AN All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in the November election in Kogi State,Dr. Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba, has vowed to put health in the front burner if elected.
Onukaba said the people are not enjoying the best of health delivery system at the moment, considering the maternal and infant mortality rate in the state, saying all hope was not all lost for the people.
While reviewing the state of medical facilities in the state, the aspirant acknowledged the need to improve the health of the people beyond the existing system.
A press release from his campaign organisation said he re-echoed the view of Governor Idris Wada that “it is difficult to ascertain the exact number of new born babies that die in and around birth and women who died during child birth.”
But he added that the statement was a direct admission of failure of the present and past governments in the provision of good health care for the people.
Onukaba has already put together a team of experts to design a workable healthcare system that would yield instant result while in office.
