ORANGE is a vibrant colour, which adds sparkle to any woman’s look. Coming in different shades, they always complement a person’s skin type. They can be found on variety of fabrics and are made into skirts, trousers, shirts and shorts.

Wearing an orange outfit is fun, but to bring out the best appearance, you must apply caution. In the words of Adebayo Adegbe, CEO of Modela Couture, Lagos, orange apparels can be rocked classically with dark colours such as black, navy blue or with multi coloured print with touch of orange. “Our local fabrics with orange on them are very nice and colourful and will make any lady look stylish.”

He continues, “orange is also very complementary with white, and modern style with red. I love black shades with orange because it creates this unique appearance. A black stiletto shoes or strappy sandals on short orange dress and matching black bag also looks beautiful.”

Adegbe says, “I prefer a dark to medium coloured skin to rock orange because it contrasts with the skin and looks great. The good thing about this lovely colour is that you can make different styles out of it.”

According to him, “these days, they are matched with ankara fabric and other colours to make them stand out. Orange is already a bright colour, so, tone it down a bit by keeping your accessories and makeup minimal.”
