The Abia State Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Alex Otti, has filed notice of appeal against the judgment delivered some weeks ago by the Abia State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, delivered on the November 3, upholding the election on April 11, of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate and governor of the state, Dr. Okezie Ipkeazu.

One of Otti’s lawyers, Chukwudi Oracle Nwala, disclosed this to The Guardian on Thursday night in an interview, noting that his client was challenging the judgment according to the specified 21 days of the law to do so.

He said the Notice of Appeal was filed on the November 18, signed by Chief Akin Olujinmi, a Seniour Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), on 30 grounds of Appeal, to set aside the judgment, except portions that were in favour of the appellant.

The appeal, according to Oracle, allegedly did not handle the issues around the elections in Osisioma Ngwa, Obingwa and Isiala Ngwa North, as earlier declared inconclusive.
