A total of 10,465 students of tertiary institutions across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State have applied for the 2025 bursary award organised by the Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation in collaboration with the Tinubu Support Group.
In a statement issued by the Central Committee of the scholarship programme, registration opened on August 1 and closed at midnight on August 31, 2025.
The committee said the next phase is to begin the sorting and screening process to transparently select 3,000 successful applicants, as promised by Senator Karimi at the launch of the programme.
The names of selected beneficiaries will be published after the screening exercise.
The committee urged applicants and the public to follow updates from the DSSK Media Team, assuring that the process will be transparent, fair, and accountable.
In July, the foundation announced that 1,390 students from Kogi West Senatorial District, 1,000 from Kogi East, and 610 from Kogi Central in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria will benefit from the bursary scheme.
