A former Secretary to Oyo State Government (SSG), Michael Koleosho, is dead He was the SSG under the late Governor Lam Adesina's government,According to a source, Koleosho, a former National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and popularly called Babalaje of Sakiland, died on Monday at 86.

A former Secretary to Oyo State Government (SSG), Michael Koleosho, is dead He was the SSG under the late Governor Lam Adesina’s government,According to a source, Koleosho, a former National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and popularly called Babalaje of Sakiland, died on Monday at 86.

Until his death, Koleosho was an elder statesman from Oke-Ogun geo-political zone in Oyo State.

Meanwhile, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has described the death of Koleoso as the end of an era. Makinde, in a statement, yesterday, said that Koleoso was one of the last men standing from a generation of great men and women that gave their best to serving Oyo State and Nigeria.

However, Oyo State Acting Governor, Bayo Lawal, yesterday, directed that the national flag should be flown at half-mast in the state for seven days in honour of Koleoso.

Lawal gave the directive, yesterday, when he led a top government delegation on a condolence visit to the family of the late former SSG in his Akobo Ibadan home.

He said that the state government would give the deceased a befitting burial, noting that he would be remembered as a progressive who always stood for the truth and devoted himself to championing fairness and equity for all, irrespective of their political parties.
