People’s welfare, business growth  our priority, says Mimiko

Ondo State Government has assured the people of the state that it would continue to create conducive environment for businesses to grow, provide good health facility and prioritise the welfare of workers always.

The State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko stated this during this month’s edition of the state organised family oriented programme ‘Gbebiro’, dedicated to the commemoration of the seventh anniversary of the government and the forty years anniversary of the creation of the state, held yesterday in Akure.

Mimiko, pledged that the present administration would continue to work for the people of the state in order to ensure that they enjoy dividends of democracy.

He opined that the government is intensifying efforts to ensure that women are included in governance and empowered to make them industrious and contribute to the sustenance of economic development and growth in the state.

While appreciating the workers, the various artisan groups, religious leaders, and market women for their support the governor, represented by his deputy, Alhaji Abdulazeez Oluboyo, urged them to cooperate with the government to further impact the lives of the people positively.

He appreciated the wife of the state governor, Mrs Olukemi Mimiko for contributing her quota to the improvement and development of women in the state, saying various families have felt her impact in their businesses and home via the empowerment at ‘Gbebiro’ and her pet project “Maternal Pulse Foundation” praying that her legacy will outlive her.

Mimiko stressed that ongoing projects across the state would be completed and new ones would be executed saying the present administration would continue to work till the expiration of its tenure.

Also speaking at the event, the  wife  of the Governor, Mrs Olukemi Mimiko, called on women to  make  meaningful contributions to their homes in  order to facilitate peaceful living especially in this period of dwindling global economy.
