Police arrest 93 kidnap, robbery suspects in Kaduna, others
The Nigeria Police Force has arrested 93 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers in the last two weeks during operations in Kaduna, Niger and Katsina states.
Force spokesman, DCP Frank Mba, who made the disclosure at Katari village along Kaduna-Abuja highway in Kaduna, stated more than 500 ammunition were recovered from the suspects.
He added that the force also recovered 37 AK 47 rifles, 12 locally made guns, a revolver pistol, 60,000 fake U.S. dollars, military uniforms and a foreign pistol from the criminals.
According to him, the arrests and seizures were part of the success story of Operation Puff Adder launched to check banditry and other ills on the important highway and the nation at large.
