Ronchess absolves Adeolu Adeboye, wife from contract controversy

The CEO of Ronchess Global Resources Plc Jackson Ukuevo has absolved Pastor Adeolu Adeboye and his wife, Adebimpe of any complicity in the Ronchess/Kaduna State Government case.

Sahara Reporters had claimed in a report that Adeolu Adeboye’s company had run to a court to stop a government probe of his company after an N8-bllion contract was abandoned.

“While the company finds it needless and not essential to join issues with the authors of the publication, it would however be necessary to put the facts straight in a bid not to mislead the public,” Ukuevo said in a statement.

Ukuevo explained that Adeolu Adeboye is neither the owner nor a shareholder in the company. The CEO noted that Adeboye has not even joined Ronchess as at the time the contracts were awarded and executed.

“The ongoing legal actions between Ronchess and the Kaduna State Government, are rooted in a civil contract dispute—nothing more,” the CEO said.

He explained that while Pastor Adeolu Adeboye serves as a directors of the company, he was never awarded any contract and neither did he nor Ronchess abandon any contract.

He also noted that Adeolu Adeboye did not receive any funds from the Kaduna State Government.

Ukuevo insisted that the Sahara Reporter report was false and “appeared to be part of a deliberate effort to tarnish his reputation and the Ronchess brand. Ronchess remains committed to delivering quality work and upholding transparency in all our dealings.”

Exceprt from the statement reads: The said Pastor Adeolu Adeboye being attacked in the Sahara Reporters’ Publication at no time and point collected money to execute any contract for the Kaduna State Government.

‘In fact, Pastor Adeolu Adeboye was not even instrumental to the award of the contracts.

“He (Pastor Adeolu) was neither a board member nor a shareholder of Ronchess at the time the Contract was awarded to Ronchess.

“As erroneously painted by Sahara Reporters, the person referred to as Pastor Adeolu Adeboye’s wife (i.e. Miss. Adebimpe Adeboye) is not even related to Pastor Adeolu. In fact, Pastor Adeolu’s wife is neither a Director
in Ronchess nor secured any contract for Ronchess.

“It is manifestly clear that the publication is aimed at maligning and denigrating the names and persons of Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Pastor Adeolu Adeboye who was not even a Board member of Ronchess at all material times relevant to the award of the contracts.

“While we admit that Pastor Adeolu Adeboye is presently a Director in Ronchess, it must however be stated that Ronchess is a legal entity duly registered in Nigeria with full legal capacity.

“Pastor Adeolu Adeboye being a Nigerian like you and I, is allowed by Nigerian laws to participate in any legitimate business he so desires.

“Ronchess indeed executed several contracts in Kaduna State that transformed the State and it is entitled to be paid as such. Imperative to state is that there is a huge difference between a company as a legal entity and its Directors and as a matter of fact, Pastor Adeolu Adeboye is not the only Director of the Company. The entire facts culminating into the Directors’ persecution is purely civil in nature

“In view of the spurious allegations in the Sahara Reporters’ Publication, the Company and its Directors have contacted its Legal Representative to know their rights under the law. We shall in due course respond to this libelous publication after deliberations with our legal team.”

“The Ronchess Global boss enumerated all the details of the contracts in the statement, asserting that the contract was at no time abandoned, giving the level of work either done or ongoing on each phase of the contracts.”
